Bonphotage Luxury Photography and Cinematography - A Million-Dollar Fairytale - Lavish Wedding at Lake Geneva’s Grand Geneva Resort - Heather and Nick

When Heather and Nick set out to plan their wedding, they envisioned nothing short of a modern fairytale—an event where romance, opulence, and artistry collided. Their million-dollar celebration at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin exceeded every expectation, dazzling guests with breathtaking details from Louis Vuitton couture invitations to a floral wonderland reception.

Before guests even arrived at the lakeside destination, they received an invitation suite that hinted at the grandeur to come. The stationery, accented with gold foiling, custom illustrations, and velvet ribbons, felt more like a piece of art than a paper good. A wax seal and personalized touches tied the collection together, offering an unforgettable first glimpse into the couple’s sophisticated vision.

Walking into the ballroom at the Grand Geneva Resort, guests were transported into a world dripping with luxury. Floor-to-ceiling draping in soft ivory tones created an ethereal canvas, while thousands of white roses and hydrangeas cascaded across the ceiling, enveloping the chandeliers in blooms. A mirrored banquet table stretched beneath, glowing with the light of endless tapered candles. This reception design was nothing short of architectural artistry, seamlessly blending romance with modern extravagance.

The ceremony itself was staged outdoors on the lush lawns of the resort, where Heather walked down a custom mirrored aisle flanked by sculptural waves of white florals. From above, the winding floral design formed a mesmerizing figure-eight pattern - a symbol of infinity and eternal love. Heather, radiant in a couture gown with cascading floral appliqués, joined Nick beneath a round floral arch as guests looked on in awe.

Beyond the beauty, Heather and Nick’s wedding embodied the elegance and prestige of a destination wedding in Lake Geneva. The Grand Geneva Resort provided the perfect canvas for such an extraordinary event, combining Midwest charm with international-level luxury. From the private suites to the grand ballroom transformation, every detail reflected the couple’s commitment to hosting not just a wedding, but an unforgettable experience.

Heather and Nick’s million-dollar wedding was more than a celebration - it was a statement in artistry, design, and timeless romance. With couture-level styling, world-class floral installations, and a venue steeped in elegance, their Grand Geneva Resort wedding is a blueprint for modern luxury celebrations!

We are so grateful to have been a small part of their incredible celebration! Congratulations you two!

Bonphotage Fine Art Wedding Photography Workshop Part I - Villa Terrace, Milwaukee - As Published in Martha Stewart Weddings

What an absolute dream to see our work published on Martha Stewart Weddings today! You would never know it was a freezing day in Milwaukee when a dream team of vendors and the Bonphotage Photography  team got together in Milwaukee at Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum for the Bonphotage Photography workshop ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

From Martha Stewart, "No place has quite the same allure as Europe—which explains why it's a popular wedding destination for couples planning an ultra-romantic fête. While each across-the-pond country comes with its own rich legacy and historic architecture, that Old-World feeling distinct to Europe surrounds you no matter where you are on the continent. Whether you're standing in front of a château in the South of France or basking in the sun on a Spanish villa's veranda, there's one thing that's certain: That vibe, strong enough to make you dream of a life as an ex-pat, doesn't come along very often when you're stateside—and you sense it even less (if at all) in your hometown. At least, that's what Lynzie Hazan of  believed until she stumbled upon the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in—believe it or not—Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hazan took one look at the mansion, designed in the style of a 16th-century Italian Renaissance mansion, and knew that it "needed to be captured in an elegant way." Suddenly, the idea came to her. "While we all dream of a European wedding, it isn't always an option," she explains. "So, why not bring Europe to the couple?"

She then assembled a dream team—which included Régine Danielle Events and Frontier Flowers of Fontana—to bring her vision of a European-inspired styled shoot, complete with a color palette informed by the Tuscan-inspired venue, vintage rentals, and an antique-filled tablescape, to life. With the villa's sprawling gardens, terracotta tiled roof, and waterfront location (it overlooks Lake Michigan!) as a backdrop, it's almost impossible to believe that this concept came together in the continental U.S.

Of course, not every couple has access to a venue designed with the Italianate architecture of the past as a model, especially if they're getting hitched in the place where they grew up. But that absolutely doesn't mean that you can't plan a European-themed celebration. Here, Hazan and her team give their tips on planning and executing a hometown wedding that feels like a little sliver of Tuscany."
